Hi Les, we were in Malta at the begining of June with our Daughter and her Husband, I'd planned to take them to look at the musical fountain but I saw on Skyline that it had been drained, quite disappointed so we went to the Aquarum instead. I managed to record most of the Pavarotti performance in 2016. Just noticed there are a few people about tonight and the fountain did a short squirt so maybe there'll be more later when it gets dark.

Kevin, I'm just glad that I managed to record a display whilst there last year. It was great with the water shoots synchronized with the music. Will be back next week, fingers crossed they will have it working for me. I did see a very short 'spirt' the other day, but that was it.

It will be such a shame if it's allowed to fall in to disrepair, Les. We watched the airshow from there in 2016 and the place was very busy, all the cafes and bars on the terrace were full. The fountain dancing to Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma was spectacular, sadly I've never seen the place as busy again. I guess it was an ambitious and expensive project to build the Smart City Malta complex but it's just too far out of the way for tourists to visit unless they have a car but then they can't relax and enjoy a drink. Hopefully things will improve.

An article in the Malta Independent, says that there is no maintenance work been carried out at Smart City. Pavements broken, scrubs not being cared for, paint left to peel. Shame Shame

Don't need sound to look at a little pond of water. Silence is Golden.
