anybody here knows who's funeral is being held here at Naxxar Church? It looks like it might be a dignitary?
29dec17-- A Thank You to our host, Peace Band Club Naxxar & Ortis Malta, for sponsoring this 'live cam' view of Naxxar Church, wonderful.
Well done Naxxar, a spectacular show with Maltese music and folklore dancing. Watching it from London.

Carlos Albert, on the 8th September the Church celebrates the birthday of Our Lady. The Holy Child Mary, referred to by the local villagers as Maria Bambina, is the Patron Saint of the town of Naxxar. This is the day when Naxxar celebrates the feast of its Patron Saint. The 8th of September is a National Holiday in Malta to commemorate the end of the Great Siege of 1565, when the Ottoman Empire tried to conquer the Island of Malta. Then in 1943, Italy ended the hostilities against the Allies and therefore ending the siege of Malta in the Second World War. Because of this, the feast of the 8th September is called 'Il-Vitorja' (The Victory) and the Blessed Virgin Mary is referred to as the "Madonna tal-Vitorji" - Our Lady of Victories.Tomorrow, the celebrations start from inside the Church at 09:30am and can be followed on the webcam inside the Church. The procession with the Statue starts at 19:00hrs Malta time, and can be followed on this webcam.
Carlos you will find all the information if you go to the webcam inside the church.
