Badly needed is a rain water retention project to keep the bay clean and save precious water. An underground reservoir that will spoil the ambience.

Wednesday 4/10/17 @ 18:23 Xlendi is in total darkness, could it be because of the storm earlier?

Going by the colour of the sea in the bay, it looks like Xlendi has got the rain water running down the valley again.

Hi folks. Rain all over the islands today, at least it is at the end of the independent celebrations and will freshen things up a bit. Gan canny.

It's so much quieter then when we were there a month ago swimming. I see a few are still enjoying the sea. I suspect Xlendi like many places on Gozo are so much quieter & more peaceful out of season.

Xlendi Gostra this afternoon, watch the contestants try to reach the end of the pole just below the Life Guard station on the left of the bay.

This afternoon you can see the Xlendi Gostra taking place on the left hand side of the screen (just below the lifeguard post). It's the annual contest for youngsters who try to get to the end of the pole without falling into the sea. Not sure if it starts at 1pm or 2pm (UK time) but keep watching.

Its is a combination of both the rough seas today and the lasting effects of the heavy rains last week that washed down through the valley and into the sea.

s it the rough seas or something comming down from the land? Also does anyone know what has happened to the camera that was in the main square in Malta?

What an amazing contrast between the colour of the sea in the bay and further out - shows the effect of a rough sea!

Oh yes, lucky you living there, we go past Throckley.
You must be with Easy Jet Viv because we use Jet 2 and they're Thursday flights.
If you are reading this save some sun for us please as I'm fed up already of the grey sky here!

Have fun with your doolally friends.
