Love all the web cams please bring back the one for Piazza San Marco , loved seeing that in the morning sun light and as the sun sets.
Dommage que la webcam de la Piazza San Marco - Venice, soit déconnectée, pendant le carnaval de Venise.
Such a great fireworks display! Happy New Year!
Both St. Mark Basin webcams will not stay on but a minute or two.
fui em novembro de 2014 e foi maravilhoso...clima perfeito...vinho...massa italiana
Noticing that there is a lot of fog in Venice at this time in November, I'm guessing it's not the best time to visit! Is it common at this time of year?
Wow, that's like zero visibility!!!! Never saw the Lagoon like this before!
I lived in Venice (on the island of Giudecca) for two years. It was such a wonderful experience, and I still consider Venice my "home" as that is where my heart is! My boyfriend has a motorboat, and we often cruised past this area on our way to the Lido for coffee...... I'll be returning to Venice at least twice a year for long visits, but in between, I can make a virtual visit!
18/07/15who dropped the fireworks in the water.......bit of a damp squib isn,t it Antoinette mind you its only 22.40 pm in the uk!
I was wondering why there were so many boat on the Grand Canal and this is what I found out: "Every July, a pontoon bridge is built across the canal that separates the Giudecca from Venice proper, so people can make the pilgrimage to the church. But, while the religious part of the festival falls on Sunday, what makes this weekend so special are the festivities on Saturday night. Boats of every shape and size gather in the lagoon between St Mark’s, San Giorgio, the Punta della Dogana and the Giudecca, each holding merry-makers supplied with food and drink. This party culminates in an amazing fireworks display." So, I'm going to be checking this site for the fireworks, and the fun being shared via webcam. Thank you Skyline!
