unusual amounts of foam in the water turbulence as it comes in backwards.
is that MSC Sinfonia on the horizon
Oh, well done, Pat! On that same website you can type in my name and view all my paintings together. We were planning another "Fabulous Fortina Fortnight" in March, but we gather that the hotel will be closed for refurbishment,so we will have to change the time, but we shall once more be visiting the superb Malta Aviation Museum at Ta'Qali, of course..! Eric.
There is MSC Armonia on the horizon. 12.54.malta time
Eric, I went to that website and very much enjoyed your paintings! Very nice indeed!!
Hello, Pat! Sorry, I have only aviation paintings on line. I am an Associate Member of the Guild of Aviation Artists and if you visit their website: www.gava.org.uk, my work features in the illustrations of the annual exhibitions held at the Mall Galleries in London. Quite a few do have, of course, landscapes as a major feature.Cath and I are looking forward to returning once more to Malta; there's really nowhere else quite like it! Hope you find the pictures. Eric
Eric, I would love to see some of your artwork!! Do you have a website or Facebook page or somewhere I can view your paintings?
Thanks,Pat! So pleased that my 'Picture' communicated. As a landscape and aviation artist I am usually working in oils, acrylics or watercolours. Can't use those here,of course,so I decided to "paint" in words. It's a combination of the Grand Harbour cameras,,of course, and also a sort of thanks to Skyline for all the pleasure that all the Malta cameras bring throughout the year. Once more my thanks - and now back to the easel... Every good wish. Eric.
Eric Humphrey, what you wrote was beautiful. It transported me from Arizona to Malta.
Try again... I hope you may "Get the Picture". of: Evening Impressions, Grand Harbour .Skeins of bright lights, admiring their shimmering shapes in deep, dark water...A departing cruise liner ,like a floating fairyland, gently shepherding its constellation of rainbowed reflections out of the harbour, and fading away into the night like a lonely Christmas tree..Beyond safe havens, distant thunderstorms are scouring the horizon with sudden sweeps of silent lightning, and a pale fingernail crescent moon clears the battlements of the Three Cities... Darting pinpoint lights from small craft in the harbour mingle with sea and sky like wayward planets...Desultory murmurs of contented cafe conversations, a chime of glasses and aromas of fresh coffee...The Siege Bell hangs like a gold lantern, standing bold above somber shadows, and towering over all, the mighty floodlit walls of Valletta, cooling now after the heat of the day, sweeping into a night sky full of sleeping stars...Now,some lights are switching off, and it's time to turn out mine, so: settle under the duvet, close eyes, select "Recall" in my memory banks, and away we go...Ah yes, great reception! Play it again... Goodnight.. Eric Humphrey.
Oh dear, problems again with transmissions! Did this get through? Eric Humphrey
Wow, what a firework display, now we want to go back there again.
I wander if this brilliant camera could be nudged to the left to show part or all of the saluting battery? Many thanks for all the great views. We will be back in September to see them all in person
The 2nd webcam viewing into the creek from the same location at Grand Harbour Vista is called "Senglea live cam View of the docks and of Birgu's waterfront in Senglea"
