Where oh where have Ken and Ernie disappeared to? I could 'listen' to their banter for hours - best comment section I've ever come across on these cams. Come back 'banter men', PLEASE!!

Well hello Catherine! Thought it was just me n' Ken, the last two banter men on earth. I think Ken may have gone off in a sulk not having heard from him since my leg debacle 2 months ago. Could you nip round his house and knock on the door this evening, see if he's in? Or maybe just shout through his window? "ARE YOU THERE KEN? Me n' Ernie want to know if you're coming out to play?"
(PS. Ironically, the good news is my old leg healing nicely. The bad news is I had already donated it for a transplant. It is now helping Finnish pole vaulter Wilma Murta to compete in Rio this week. Sod's Law!
ARE YOU THERE KEN?? (Actually he might be on nights, so ssshh!) And by the way, are you that architect?

Well, here was I waiting with bated breath to see just how it all went, and now I am utterly disappointed with the outcome. Is it not possible to do it with one leg Ernie. Perhaps I could be trained up quickly, though on second thoughts I am terrified of heights, caves, small spaces, spiders, slugs, err.. frogs, oh this list is endless and am running out of time. Please don't give up I am sure with your new wooden leg and with lots of training you will be ready next year. Please advise! Ken I am sure we could sort something out so we won't miss out. Hope Giorgio has recovered from the shock!! Ken, can Betty take the one piece back? Has she still got the receipt?

Morning Ken. I'm afraid all your preparations (which was hysterical to read I might add) may come to nought. My ingrowing toe nail developed unexpectedly last Thursday so I was rushed into A&E. The doctors said 'the good news is we were able to save your leg.. you can pick it up from reception on your way out". Really sorry about this, I was looking forward to the trip. I've been trying to train up my Auntie Eileen's pet herring Derek to come and do the trip for me so you wouldn't be let down, but he got busy at Uni with his finals. He did keep slipping off the wire anyway, (no grip on the fins) so to be honest he probably would've been a bit rubbish at it. Hey ho, sorry to disappoint, but as they say, plenty more fish in the sea! Good luck! See yah!

Salutations , Ernie, we thought we'd start the walk with The Great Pyramid, followed by The Human Fly and as we bring it onto Montblanc, finish with Star burst rotating counter clock wise (wind dependent). It wont be Cirqe du Soleil ,but should be pretty good on the day. Betty would like to know which shoulder your planing to use . With the kids growing up so quick these days , especially Bethany-Jane , we have balance them all out for the Star burst . Young Eugene wont be ascending The 1938 Eiger North Face Route with us , as he will be trying out for the Middle School First XV the next day, but will join us at the wire. That's about that Ernie , get back about the shoulder and we'll take it from there .Cheers.

Hi again Ken. TANGO?? The little tinker. He promised me he'd give up dancing lessons after that ballroom incident just outside Skegness. Great you're coming as Mahatma, and I look forward to seeing Betty in her one piece snakeskin jumpsuit. I'm sure it will fit her alot better than the one I bought Kim Jong Un for his birthday the other week from Primark. He said he liked it, but you never can tell with people and presents can you, he might just be being polite. At least he didn't fire a rocket at me, ha ha. See yah on the wire and pip pip with the Glenlivet! (How did we get here from 'ski lifts'?? Funny old world.)

He did mention something about his tango not being the same , picking up the J D next month when we are doing a booze cruse to Calais . Betty has got herself a one piece snake skin jump suit from Prada , the kids cant make up their minds wither to be angels or demons and I'll be my usual Mahatma Gandhi .I just love these family outings .They really pull everyone together. Stick in with the training Ernie, and we'll see you soon . Oh and Betty say's try Glenlivet for a warm up tonic.

That is exciting Ken! I'm sure Betty will look wonderful in whatever she wears on our tightrope walk. And please order the 5 litres of Jack Daniels. These days I never venture out onto the wire carrying people without adequate supplies since I once fell off when sober! The Dalai Lama didn't speak to me for days afterwards. He hurt his leg quite badly.
