Holy Cow! Who knew it snowed in Portofino.
as the usual Super Yacht Caribbean destinations of St Martin and St Barts are still recovering from Irma. all the big yachts (that aren't still in Ft Lauderdale) seem to be gathering in Antigua instead. for those that use the tracking sites... check out Falmouth Antigua.
Its dark at 5pm, huh long night. How about the office timings then?
2dec17--A Thank You to our host, Gruppo Albergatori Santa Margherita e Portofino, for sponsoring this 'live cam' view on the beach from Castello Brown, splendid.
Hi Ruby, Lou, Gert: We watch Portofino and love seeing the yachts coming and going but don't know if you have been there. The harbour and the bay are bigger than they appear on the webcam. All the little boats have gone???Not a programme i would normally watch but I'm looking to go to Genoa love cities and thought to go down to Portofino but if you can pick up Jane McDonald's recent cruise series, she docks in Genoa and takes the boat trip to Portofino you will get a a better feel of the space of the place..
i'm still around Gert... sort of.cam and chat have been so quiet, but i've been popping in and out. its not just the yachts that have migrated for the winter, i have too....... been watching St Bart's cams ;-)
Forget what I said about the boat not on Marine Traffic, I thought I was on the other camera. I'm just a goof today.
10-25-17 23:45 No record on Marine Traffic about the yacht that's moored, pretty blue lights though.Hi Lesley & Ruby. I still look in occasionally. Haven't seen Lou for awhile, I wonder what she's up to.
Hasna looks good lit up. I'm surprised the two large yachts are not lit or any of the other boats for that matter. Bit of a shipping hazard!
Hi Lesley I had a good holiday thanks, weather was brill. I have found the Benidorm webcams, in fact they were the first I logged into, then found all these other different cams. The two in Zambia are very popular. Still recording Strictly and fast forwarding the chat. Re west Yorkshire I live in Wetherby. I did see the boat lit up last night.
Ruby: If you have not found it already and if you are interested, webcams for Benidorm - Select Spain and then Valencian Community from the index.
Ruby! There you are. When I was posting yours was not there. You will have seen info on Hasna currently in the bay.Good time in Benidorm? Caught up with Strictly? To answer your question from a couple of weeks ago, I live between Leeds and Bradford. Do you have an interest in West Yorkshire?
Hi Gert: Good to see one of the regulars is still checking in. Have only seen the bay picture in darkness but the Hasna's lighting looks good. Ruby would have liked that. Will have a look tomorrow morning. Have seen pictures.Hopefully we will see other yachts popping in rather than having to wait for next season. If you are interested Hasna is 73m x 12m with an 11.9m beam and an 8m swimming pool on the aft deck, accommodates 12 guests with up to 21 staff. Launched in the Netherlands for Australian John Symond, 70 this year. Took it to Monaco this summer for his birthday with up to 200 guests coming and going. He's a banker and originally known for his 'home loans'.Value of yacht is said to be US$100m, he is said to be worth US$600m. Big chunk out of his savings, ha ha!
Nice to see something in the bay. Apparently everyone goes south for the winter! Wouldn't we all if we could!
